Scholl Orthaheel has been designed in collaboration with leading podiatrists to minimise the stresses in the foot region, and correct the posture and alignment, to provide relief from most of the painful conditions. 

Glidesoft technology is scientifically proven to reduce shear force in the forefoot and has been shown clinically to reduce the risk of skin damage.

Pressure:
Pressure is due to forces pressing down on the skin, such as having the body weight over a small part of he foot, squashing the skin between the bones and the shoe.  This can lead to the development of callus and/or skin damage.

Friction:
Friction is caused by shear forces that move across the skin surface, such as a sock or shoe rubbing against the skin.  If this type of force is quite intense it may lead to the development of a blister.  if the force is less intense it may lead to a corn or callus developing.
