Sportfishers who enjoy crisp-action rods built on high-modulus carbon graphite blanks will be impressed by the distance casting capabilities and sensitivity of our new Rovex Revenge spin and baitcast rods. A few things stand out when you take a look at this range—that is, apart from the striking white blanks and red graphics—and they are features such as the high quality Alps guides, red metal trim, Camo EVA grips and high-performance blanks, all of which are normally found in products at a much higher price point. This range offers a lot of rod for the money.
Our new Revenge rod range also offers a lot of options across nine spin models and five baitcast rods. In a one-piece spin format, choices include: 6’0” 2-4kg, 6’6” 3-5kg, 7’0” 2-4kg, 7’0” 3-6kg and 7’0” 8kg. The two piece formats include: 6’6” 3-5kg, 7’0” 3-6kg, 7’0” 8kg and the versatile 7’6” 8kg.
That selection covers flicking soft plastics and small hard-bodies for bream, whiting, flathead, bass and trout; line-burning-fun on Australian salmon, tailor and rat kings; grunt for soft plastic snapper tactics, metal casting for school mackerel, or flicking poppers for inshore tropical pelagics and coral trout up north.
Our Revenge baitcasters offer a light and sporty 6’2” 2-4kg rod, plus four 5’6” models starting with the 6kg, which is ideal for casting estuary snags for barra and mangrove jack up north and provides plenty of grunt for southern anglers using biggish lures to target solid Murray cod and large bass.
The 8kg model is a barra all-rounder with enough tip for a day’s casting in hope of bigger fish and it’s a nice trolling option, too. The 10kg and 12kg no-nonsense models can be used for casting but are more suited to trolling big lures for big barra, each offering plenty of low-down grunt to turn heavy fish.
