Shimano Sephia Egi
For many years now, Japanese anglers have regarded Shimano’s egi systems as the pinnacle of squid fishing technology. Shimano is pleased to be delivering some of the most significant Egi advancements into the hands of Australian anglers. With a perfect sink rate and realistic action, the revolutionary Sephia Egixile jig is the first key component to this system. This season Shimano has released eight exciting patterns, including the classic 14T and Keimura cloth for use in deeper water and lower light conditions.
All Sephia jigs feature SUS 304 Japanese stainless steel crowns to ensure hooks stay needle sharp and rust free. Keimura cloth is activated by Ultra Violet light. UV light travels further in the water column than sunlight and greatly enhances the appearance of the jig to the keen eyesight of a cruising squid. Shimano’s new Sephia Egi range is available in three sizes — 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 — to suit the full scope of different angling conditions.
