Cruiser and Tourer Models
The face frame series includes two ranges: Cruiser and Tourer. The Cruiser designs make use of a simple and efficient cap fly design. The Tourer designs include a full length fly sheet and options for variable ventilation. So how do you choose between them?
Cap Fly v Full Fly
Full fly tents are generally able to retain more warm air overnight. Cap fly tents on the other hand are cooler and allow easier air flow. So the time of year that you do most of your camping in will help to make this choice. If you only get out during the warmer months then a cap fly in the Cruiser range will suit your needs well. But, if you play on doing all year touring - or love your winter touring - check out the full fly Tourer range
Weather Protection
A question that gets asked of these designs is there water and weather resistance, particularly so of cap fly designs. Both the inner tent and outer fly of these designs are made of waterproof materials. And the design, Features around windows and exposed seams make there weather performance equal.
Set up Time Difference
Despite the larger fly area, there is no set up time difference between the cruiser and Tourer models. So if you prefer the flexibility of the Tourer Design you are not penalised on set up times.
