Squidgy Pro Range Slick Rig Light 80mm, 110mm and 130mm Soft Plastic Lures

Squidgy Pro Range Slick Rig Light

The Squidgy Slick Rig has quickly become one of Australia’s top-selling soft plastic lures since its release a few years ago. Anglers love the simplicity of a pre-rigged lure they can simply tie or clip on their lines and cast or troll to catch fish! But many specialist anglers, particularly those chasing fish like barramundi in freshwater rivers and dams or tidal estuaries, wanted additional colours in the line-up, and also a selection of Slick Rigs with lighter built-in weights. So was born the Squidgy Pro Slick Rig Light range! A fantastic colour range, and 45% lighter than the original! Already the number one impoundment barra lure in the land, smart anglers are constantly finding new wonders to work with these fantastic swim baits… Smear and fill them with deadly S-Factor and go for it! Often, these great lures do their best work on a straight, slow to medium-paced retrieve, but don’t be afraid to experiment! Try stops and starts (burn-and-kill), lifts and drops, and slow jigging near the bottom... Each approach has its day!

#1 - 80mm, #3- 110mm, #4 - 130mm

Rigging your Squidgy straight is absolutely critical! A straight lure will swim naturally, as intended.

STEP 1 Once you’ve chosen a jig head and tail to suit the target species and conditions, lay the jig head along the tail, placing the nose of the Squidgy against the back of the head, and pin-point the exit point of the hook on top of the tail.

STEP 2 Push the hook point through the dead centre of the tail’s nose and keep the hook in the centre of the Squidgy as you feed it on, until it exits the mid-line of the tail at the point you identified in step 1.

STEP 3 Once the hook has cleared the tail, gently push the tail right up the hook and over the hook keeper, seating it firmly against the jig head.

STEP 4 Your Squidgy should not be bunched, bent or short of the jig head. If it’s straight like this, it’s ready to catch fish!
