How does it work? This set consists of two parts; an electrical socket/plug (4 included) and a remote control unit. The socket is plugged into any normal electrical outlet and can be switched on and off with the remote.

In a typical home you'll have your TV, DVD, Set-Top Box, Stereo all plugged into a powerboard of some sort that would be then plugged into an electrical socket into the wall.
