Fluorocarbon has a refractive index very close to water, it is nearly invisible. Also another advantage of fluorocarbon is it's specific gravity is slightly higher that water so it's sinks quicker. This offer a clear advantage when sight fishing. You can get your fly or bait to the fish much quicker then using mono. Great for Bonefish, Permit, Whiting and other timid fish.
